Our mission is to prepare young people for extraordinary lives, and Christ is the example of the extraordinary life. Under the patronage of Our Lady – Notre Dame – a Notre Dame Catholic School education integrates the faith into teaching and learning everyday. In addition to classroom prayer to start and end each day and formal religion classes, students participate in Mass each week, the Holy Rosary (October and May), Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament (First Fridays), the Burning of Palms (before Ash Wednesday), Pack the Pews Sunday Masses, and other observances throughout the year.
Curriculum – Learn(+):
Notre Dame Catholic School offers a broad, rigorous, and challenging 21st Century faith-based curriculum that supports student engagement and the development of a life-long love of learning. Connecting the art and the science of teaching, Notre Dame fosters learning in students of all ability levels through our Learn(+) Programming. Notre Dame uses the Academic Standards of the State of Indiana as a guide and is transitioning to the Common Core State Standards as we support students in engaging with content more deeply.
